(jul-11-09) respect!!

This Saturday we speak about respect. The children had a slight idea of what is respect but generally do not apply. The objective of this class is that even being poor people, they respect others to live in a better way.
We started singing songs, then ask them how they had spent their week, we told them how we passed ours and they gave us tips so that we can be free of stress and happy. After singing we sat in a circle and prayed the Lord's Prayer to begin the class.

We told them a story about a boy who does not respect their friends or their parents, taking things without permission, and do not obey anyone
When we finished we asked the child to think, they are being like that kid.
We asked them if they had being like that kid, they told us some situations and we reflected with them.

Then we gave sheets with different images where there were scenes of respect and others that do not. We asked them to lock the ones that are showing respect and paint them. When they finish painting them put a smiley face on the sheet and they could go to their houses with promise to carry on well with their parents, and always respect them.

After watching the video I realized that I actually wasted time doing nothing, watching television, listening to music, I don´t want to say that doing this bad, but not spend an entire day on this, its better instead of just listening, take time to compose a song for example.

I'm generally trying to improve my lifestyle.
Spend more time on productive activities. I also have my moments of doing nothing, but when can I avoid "drift" and make something happen I do it.
The fact of spend my Saturdays from 5 years ago to teach children about god allows me to give account of other realities, it allows me to feel useful in society and leaves me a great satisfaction!

seeing these children pray, smile while singing, is something that I appreciate.
know that they are waiting for you every Saturday to tell what has happened , makes me filled with satisfaction and prompts me to continue this activity over many years

"Lesson"

This class we took a "Quizz" to the kids, we asked to pray the our Fateh as we teach a few classes before.
Then we recall the creation. The children had to say the creation of the world as we explained the las class.

We sang again the songs that we teach the last class.
then paint the creation of the world, and ask them to draw what they like the most of the creation.
Finally they had to explain what they drew, why they like that and when god created it.

This Saturday I went to New Guayaquil, the subject matter was the creation in this class will read the creation of the world
little by little to involve them in reading by asking them to give us more examples of things that I believe God, we say they liked most dela creation
then we asked them to recreat the creation putting in order figures that we put them on the floor.
then we sing songs about animals and plants
finally we painted a picture about the creation of God.

Class !!

this class were a few kids, most of them went to a family trip ( most of them in that place are relatives).


This week we teach the our father, as they are small kids we did it with mimicry so they memorize faster.
at the end of Class 7 of 9 kids said it quite well. obviously have to review again and again every week . then we distribute them pages to paint as a reward for having learned the prayer.

At the end of the class we pray together the Our Father and the children went happy to their homes.

NUEVO GUAYAQUIL!

This Saturday I changed my place of social labor because the director of the GAJ asked me to do it.
I moved to “Nuevo Guayaquil” this is in the cooperative valerio estacio also. In this place I am going to be the teacher of kids from 5 to 7 years.
This day was good, when we arrived, we sang with all the kids (around 70 kids from 2 years until 12 years) they were very happy and enjoyed the songs!
Then we divided the kids by ages and each of us selected a group to work with. This day was designed to present ourselves to the kids and also for the kids to tell us their names and what they want form us.
After we talked about the class we gave them a page to draw what they want, they told me what they were drawing, and explained what means each thing.
Then we sang again with all the kids. It was great. Those kids are really good and are very interested to learn with us.
